We listened to our guests. Beginning with the 2027 season, our paranormal experiences will start later in the evening—giving you more of the after-dark atmosphere so many of you have asked for.

New for 2027
Check-in will open at 7:00 PM, with paranormal experiences beginning at 8:00 PM and ending at 12:00 AM. As Coal Country Paranormal grows, we want our process to grow with our guests—listening to feedback and adjusting the experience to make each season better.

A 1770 frontier home after dark.
Built around 1770, the Graham House is recognized as West Virginia's oldest multi-story log cabin—a setting where nearly three centuries of history are still close at hand.
126 Pocahontas Avenue • Ronceverte, WV 24970
A mansion that nearly disappeared.
The 1910s Victorian Queen Anne sat vacant for decades and came within hours of demolition before preservation efforts gave it another chance. In 2027, we plan to step inside its next chapter.

A historic railroad town after dark.
Once one of the busiest stops on the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway, Thurmond remains remarkably untouched by modern development—an entire historic town surrounded by the New River Gorge.

For Historic Locations
We welcome messages from historic properties and organizations interested in partnering with Coal Country Paranormal. We are especially interested in locations where an event can help support restoration, preservation, maintenance, or other important funding needs.
Our goal is to create an experience guests enjoy while also helping bring attention and support to the places preserving Appalachian history.
